that looks really good Rob,I really don't want to do a major rebuild on mine, my Star Trek CP plays good but it all yellowed and needs major cosmetic work. The only concern is the sticker side art. any ideas what you are going to do about that? <font color="green"> [/color]

Here's another update : I just finished both plastic side pieces for the chair. I coated them using a tub and tile re-finishing kit. It gives your bath tub or tile that new porcelain look. I rolled 2 coats on, came out almost perfect, sanded down now with 600, now for the final coat.I will post another picture when final coat is dry. This stuff really sticks, me and the wife had a good buzz going last night in the basement, even though the windows were open and fans going.

Ok, here's the last update for now: Side pieces painted, and came out awesome!!To give you an idea of the paint, look at your bath tub finish and thats whats on those sides, that type of finshed. Both pieces bolted back on, and black trim molding added on. Ran out of the trim molding so have to order more for other side, but you can see how it turned out from being built from scratch to the now finished product. Things left:: another roll of trim molding,
replace plexi glass on back, and back art on chair. Minor stuff.

I love resto threads. Do you know this is the only one we have had for weeks?
