In this thread I'm going to document building a 25" AMP XY Color Vector monitor from scratch using the Dezbaz PCBs for Deflection and HV and various other parts as directed by Dez and everyone else that has helped out on this subject.
I've never even come close to building something this complicated before and have hardly any electronics experience, but I think with patience, careful reading and the support of this community I can do it. If I pull this off then I'll have an 'almost new' 25" Color Vector with an AMP/Zenith tube for my Star Wars cockpit build. Parts list owned/ordered/inbound. Nice! The tube and yoke are the hardest part, and you've found the right ones!
Note that you won't need the 6100 'flyback' http://www.gauck.com/arcade/Amp25/Am...-in-a-box.html |

The 6100 flyback is for a mod on the HV board. Still waiting on parts to come in before I can move forward on this.

Ah, for the focus block, of course.

Just take your time. Using the 6100 yoke with the 25" tube should be easier to get good results. Rather than having to wind ferrites like my route took me. Going to try different tubes and try to get a 25" together for the ZVGVector build.

Most of my gear is in now. A big thanks to DezBaz for getting this to me safely all the way from down under. Hopefully this week I will be able to get started on this.
