Hi All,
Allow me to inform my fellow collectors and hobbyists about my new event destination, the Retro Arcade Museum, located in New York's Hudson Valley. I have assembled a large and historically significant fully working collection of vintage electromechanical and "bronze age video" arcade machines and pinballs circa 1954-1976 (sampled from my extensive private collection of over 150 machines -- please see my website for a full list); scores of early electronic handhelds; and entire product lines of early video game consoles (Magnavox Odyssey, Coleco Telstar, Atari, Fairchild, Emerson, Vectrex, etc.)...all to be seen and played. It is truly a "living museum" designed to be experienced by the public. We are open for tours and all types of private events. Additionally, we have created a very fun and authentic 60's/70's atmosphere including lava lamps, flip clocks, myriad ephemera, "Grandma's" kitchen, and an enormous vintage video and music collection. This is a "wormhole" to the recent and not so recent past -- exposing a new generation to the wonders of vintage EM and early video games -- and rekindling sentimental memories for those that recall these wonderful works of art and engineering. Hope to see you soon! BTW -- Main Street in Beacon, NY, on which we am located, is a wonderful tourist destination that is the home of fine art galleries, antique and crafts shops, fine restaurants, classic bed and breakfasts, as well as the internationally acclaimed Dia:Beacon Museum. Kindest Regards, Fred Bobrow Curator/Owner Retro Arcade Museum Retro Arcade Museum 412 Main Street Beacon, NY 12508 Tel. 917.887.3554 Fax 845.622.3518 www.retroarcademuseum.com ---------------------------------------------------- Step back into the 70's @ The Retro Arcade Museum (…and Baby Boomer Antiques)! Two hour minimum? It would cost me $80.00 for my family to step foot in that place? I guess we will not be visiting. ![]() I appreciate all your hard work, your machines are beautiful. But that's pricey!

Hi John,
Perhaps I was unclear. There is a two hour minimum for parties (more than ten guests, private use, and pizza). For individuals the cost is $9.95 per per per hour for unlimited play. No tokens required. Also includes free popcorn and soft drinks! Very competitive with movies and bowling. Thanks, Fred |

Thanks very much for the kind words. Keep in mind that is about a third of my collection. The rest is listed on my website. I do most of the maintenance, routine repairs, and cosmetic restoration, while the heavy trouble shooting and significant repairs are handled by John Henninger. He can be contacted via his website at: http://www.jpbinc.com.
If you are ever in NY or passing through please stop by! Best Regards, Fred |

Hey There,
As I replied to John there is a two hour minimum for parties (more than ten guests, private use, and pizza). For individuals the cost is $9.95 per per per hour for unlimited play. No tokens required. Also includes free popcorn and soft drinks! Can't even see a movie or go bowling for that (plus you get to wear your own shoes)! Considering the age, type and condition of machines I have -- most people think it is a real bargain! Kind Regards, Fred |
