Here they are installed on the front of the chair:
Time to install the happs coin door... the silver lock had to go; so I replaced it with a Gematic-type lock which I too powdercoated black. Here they are installed:

I'm hopeful the
Tighe is willing come up with a some 25 cent coin mech art to replace the generic HAPP sticker.
I then went in search of a solution for my "bad ROMS" message during diagnostics. It kept telling me ROMs 1867E and 1868E were "bad". I pulled the EPROM card and was getting ready to pull my eprom programmer from the closet when I notices that two pins of 1867E and a single pin of 1868E were "outside" the ic socket. Apparently; the previous owners didn't install the ICs properly! So I carefully removed the EPROMs, straightend the pins, and reinstalled. Diagnostics reported no issues with the machine.
At that point; I felt like I'd made enough progress and treated myself to 4 games. The EPROMs did not fix my "convergance" issue on the monitor so I documented my new top high score to demostrate the problem:

The red and blue guns don't appear to line up on the score and credit vectors. In the overview map; the klingon ships appear mostly correct; but they do sometimes appear as diveraged guns depending on some game play parameter. There is also what looks like a horizontal line in the "peak" of the shield, photon, and warp triangle.
I don't really think there a monitor issue; I'm guessing it's on the XY board in the card cage; but not real sure where to begin looking.
Thoughts?
